Laughter, games, and fun! Sprouts cut loose and explore their wild side in our safe and adventure-filled hothouse. Sprouts will navigate their way through obstacle courses by climbing up, over, and through challenging hurdles. Our unique structure provides the perfect environment for your sprout to safely maneuver advanced motor skills such as jumping, tumbling, rolling, hula hooping, and hanging. As this class progresses so will your sprouts’ confidence in their abilities, peer interaction, and attentiveness.

Real Sports
Huddle up for real sports! Don’t be a sore loser, learn to play a team sport while acquiring team player prerequisites – good sportsmanship, sharing, communication and exploring group dynamics. Real sports advances essential motor skills. Your sprout will kick a ball with purpose, stop a ball, connect a bat to a ball and improve their balance through an introduction to baseball, soccer, football, basketball and track.

Minis & Mighties
KGC’s signature siblings’ class pairs your younger sprout and their older sibling for an adventure in development and communication. The siblings will begin the class as a group and then separate for age appropriate activities. Younger sprouts will explore textural surfaces with their hands and feet, while simultaneously learning to balance and gain more control. Older Sprouts will safely maneuver advanced motor skills such as jumping and tumbling, as well as exploring group dynamics. The siblings will reunite for play during their time in the Hothouse and will close with a group activity.

Specifically, handwriting, reading, letter & number recognition as well as sight word recognition. After all their hard brain work, your sprouts cut loose and explore their wild side in our safe and adventure-filled hothouse. Sprouts will navigate their way through obstacle courses by climbing up, over, and through challenging hurdles. Our unique structure provides the perfect environment for your sprout to safely maneuver advanced motor skills such as jumping, tumbling, rolling, hula hooping, & hanging. This class provides the best of both worlds – play based learning in the classroom and gym!

Fort Build

Who doesn’t love to build a fort? Understand how to arrange different materials and elements to build a secure structure. Your sprouts will comprehend pre-architectural concepts such as the use of structural supports, spatial awareness, and patterning. Fort build steers the imagination to create big top circus tents, igloos, castles, superhero dens, and beyond.

Roll, kick, bounce, shoot, organize, throw, sort, catch, play, bowl, bump, collect, games and thousands of more ways to play with balls occur in ball bonanza! There will be smooth balls, bumpy balls, small balls, big balls, sports balls, soft balls, hard balls; just to name a few. Simultaneously, your sprouts are developing imagination, learning object permanence and attaining color differentiation.

Leap into adventure in our obstacle course experience! Your sprouts will jump, roll, crawl, and climb their way through challenging and exciting obstacle courses. Wind Chime Orchestra
The Wind Chime Orchestra with its high quality, kid-friendly musicians — a guitarist, a keyboardist, a vocalist and a drummer – will transport you and your child into a peaceful garden for a whimsical concert. Our musicians captivate their audience with books, exploration of new genres of music, sing-a-longs that encourage counting, spelling and learning basic body parts, while concurrently picking up introductory rhythm skills. There will be play time in the mirror, dancing, and bubbles!

Discover the roots and building blocks of music through learning notes on the piano and forming simple chords with one of our Wind Chime Orchestra band members. While using visual and auditory cues, your sprouts will increase their musical sensibilities and learn to play a fun percussion instrument. Xylophones and colors will take center stage in this class!

Learn primary and secondary color names and how to mix them, grasp shapes and their names and absorb big words such as horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines. Your sprout will get messy with paint, color with crayons & markers, manipulate play dough and make first refrigerator art — all in the comfort of our greenhouse art studio and not in your home!

Intro to Musing with the Masters
Art history-based learning designed specifically for pre-school aged sprouts. This class introduces culture, food, dress and music from an art historical perspective. Sprouts will get a chance to muse and create projects about Van Gogh’s brushstrokes, Picasso’s playfulness, Monet’s watercolors, Escher’s positive & negative space, O’Keefe’s grandeur, and more. There is a special formula for this class: art history (knowledge) + books & pictures (visual stimulation) + creativity (from the children) = well-rounded students.

Spark creativity through play with natural and fabricated materials such as rocks, toilet paper rolls, seashells, large beads, fabric, feathers, buttons, bells and hundreds of other items. Your sprout will manipulate, control, stack, remodel, and shift these objects to produce their own masterpieces. These enticing items will capture your sprouts’ inquisitiveness and allow for their imagination to flow. The ability to freely create in this fascinating environment will give way to excitement, motivation, and overall joy through their learning process.

Concentrate on one specific art technique per lesson. Focusing on one aspect of art will allow for a building block effect and in turn, peek the sprouts’ curiosity. Several examples of the classes are positive & negative space, tracing, make your own play dough, explore & create with clay, resist painting and multi watercolor techniques.

Promotes learning and development in a nurturing, play-based environment with child-centered activities. Our amazing teachers focus on social, emotional, physical, language and cognitive skills. In our nursery/classroom there is an emphasis on fine motor development while working with manipulatives, pre-writing skills, creative art experiences and phonics. Gross motor development occurs during a trip to the hothouse for an engaging gym session. A live musician arrives daily for a jam session which includes drum beats & singing books. Our teachers will captivate your sprout with a stimulating learning experience.
